Île d'Yeu
Unforgettable L’Île d’Yeu
Île d’Yeu is a place unlike any other. Located off the Vendée coast, it gives the impression of being cut off from the rest of the world from the very moment you arrive. And yet, it is not so far from the mainland.
Still, once there, you feel as though you have stepped into an entirely different setting, far removed from the landscapes usually associated with Vendée.
The island is not very large, and yet it offers completely different atmospheres depending on where you are. Some beaches linger long in the memory. Plage des Soux or Plage des Vieilles, for example, are framed by rocky surroundings and boast remarkably clear waters. Plage des Sabias, meanwhile, offers a stunning view of the Vieux Château, perched on its rocky headland.
These are places where you feel the urge to pause, look around, and simply enjoy the moment.
